Carolyn Speer is the Manager of Instructional Design and Access (IDA) at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. IDA is a team of 8 full-time and 3 part-time employees dedicated to faculty training, online course design, course auditing, and accessibility. IDA is central to WSU’s goal to achieve full accessibility by July, 2020. In addition to her work with IDA, Carolyn is the co-founder of the Kansas Accessibility Resources Network (KSARN.org) and consults regionally on accessibility. Carolyn is currently serving on the AHEAD Research Review Panel through 2021 and has been asked to join the Executive Board of the Greater Wichita chapter of DisabilityIn, an organization dedicated to helping employers achieve disability equity in employment.
