Small daily refills
You do not need a vacation to refill. Tiny moments of joy, gathered daily, add up.
It is tempting to think you will rest properly someday, once the term ends or the break arrives. But the cup empties daily, so it helps to refill it daily too, in small ways that fit inside an ordinary life. A good cup of coffee enjoyed slowly. A song you love on the drive home. Five minutes in the sun. A text to a friend. A page of a book that is only for pleasure.
Make a short list of the small things that genuinely lift you, and sprinkle them through your days on purpose. None of them will fix everything, and they are not meant to. Together, gathered consistently, they are a steady, quiet stream that keeps you from running dry while you wait for the bigger rest to come.
