Real rest
Rest is not laziness, and there is more than one kind. Give yourself the kind you need.
Rest is not what is left over once the work is done. It is part of what makes good work possible. And it is more than sleep, though sleep matters deeply, so protect it where you can. There is also the rest of stepping away from screens, the rest of quiet after a day full of talking, the rest of doing something with your hands, and the rest of simply being unproductive for a while without apology.
Notice which kind you are missing. A day full of people may leave you needing solitude; a week of grading may leave you needing play. Give yourself the rest you truly need rather than the rest you think you should want. Recovery is not a luxury you fit in if there is time. It is how you refill the cup.
