The myth of doing it all

You were never meant to do everything perfectly. Good enough is often exactly enough.

Somewhere along the way, many of us absorbed the idea that a good teacher does everything, perfectly, all the time. It is not true, and chasing it is a fast road to empty. There will always be more you could do: another comment on a paper, another resource to build, another email to answer tonight. The list does not end, so you get to decide where to stop.

Choose where your energy truly matters and let the rest be good enough. Not every assignment needs exhaustive feedback. Not every email needs a same-day reply. Protecting a little imperfection in the small things is how you keep something left for the big ones, including your own life. You are a person, not a machine, and that is not a flaw to fix.
