Keep human judgment central

The through-line: people, not tools, do the teaching and learning.

Everything in this course comes back to one idea: the human stays central. Your judgment, about what to teach, what to assess, what is accurate, and what your students need, is the thing AI cannot supply. The student’s own reasoning is the thing the course exists to develop, and no tool can do that growing for them.

Used well, AI is a capable assistant that drafts, suggests, and speeds the routine, while people make the decisions that matter. Design your course so that remains true, and you get the benefit of the tool without surrendering the teaching and learning that are the point. That is AI literacy in practice.
