Three moves do a lot of work together. Scaffold a big assignment into smaller staged pieces with their own deadlines, so students build it over time rather than produce it overnight. Require drafts and a revision, so the work visibly develops and feedback has somewhere to land. Add a brief reflection in which students explain their choices, what they changed, and what they learned.

None of these is about surveillance. Each improves learning on its own terms, and together they make a fully outsourced submission both harder to pull off and easier to notice, because a student who did the stages can speak to them and one who did not cannot.
