Build with Modules and Pages

Build your course body with structured units instead of decontextualized files.

Modules are containers that hold content in order. Pages are flexible content pages that combine text, images, and embedded media. Build a module per unit, or per content type if that fits your modality, then add Pages, assignments, and links inside it.

Prefer a Page that introduces and frames a reading over uploading a lone PDF. There are real reasons to frame rather than dump: a Page is accessible, works on a phone, and lets you tell students why a reading is here and what to do with it. A decontextualized file does none of that, so students are left guessing at its purpose. Reserve the Files area for downloads students genuinely need to keep.

Accessibility checkpoint

Pages let you use real headings, alt text, and meaningful link text. A wall of uploaded files does none of that work for you.
