Home page and syllabus
Give students a clear front door and a syllabus they can use.
The Home page is the first thing students see, so make it orient them: a short welcome, what to do first, and a link straight into the first module.
Post your syllabus as a Canvas Page built with real headings, rather than only a PDF attachment, so it is readable on phones and by assistive technology. Add a visible “Start here” so nobody is guessing on day one. Many campuses require specific syllabus statements, so add yours now.
