Reuse a course and shift dates

Bring a course into a new term, import one from another system, and move every date.

Once a course works, you rarely build from scratch. Use Blackboard’s course copy to bring content into your next term’s course. You do not have to start over even if your course currently lives somewhere else: if you already built it in another system such as Canvas, you can export it there and import the package into Blackboard. It will still need some reorganizing, but most or all of the content should come across rather than being rebuilt by hand.

After copying or importing, move the dates forward to the new term. Blackboard’s batch edit shifts all selected dates at once, which is far faster than fixing them one by one. Always audit the result, because old or mismatched dates are the most common copy-over error, and re-check links and media that may have moved.
