What is Digital Document Accessibility?

Topic Progress:

Although accessibility in all areas of content presentation are important, digital accessibility is arguably the most important. Why? Because when documents and other digital content is accessible, people can independently access the information on their own time schedule.

There are laws, regulations, and standards that govern what it means to have accessible digital documents.  Discussing those goes beyond the scope of this training, but if you are interested in learning more about digital accessibility, you should consider reading up on WCAG 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 standards, as that will give you a very sound foundation in this area.
